This is a chefs knife I just finished. The blade is D2 and the handle is made from New Zealand Rata. The sheath is hand tanned deer hide( the white bits are wax which fade with use), hand stitched. Any comments.

I like the handle.
I also like the curved blade. It would facilitate, a rocking motion when small diceing.
What I would change for my use: The tip is a bit big, as I & many chefs use the tip for delicate cutting.

Hope this helps!
Nice work!

I think the knife looks very good, but I wouldn't use a sheath with a kitchen knife.

The sheath is mainly to protect it in transit or in the drawer in the kitchen. I always supply some kind of sheath.

Hold on let me get a watermelon to test it out on!

Very nice. Looks well balanced and sturdy!
