Opinions please.

I'm not looking for a wall hanger, thought this might be a good sword for some light cutting.

Thanks. :D

the 9260 is as durable if not more than any blade out there. its a through tempered spring steel. if cheness takes any shortcuts to make the blades affordable it with their mountings. which are not bad(my tenchi is very tight) just cheaper thensay bugei or dynasty forge. but to answer your question, the ko katana is more then durable enough for cutting. actually have been thinking of picking up one myself.

Personally I'd go with with a Hanwei Raptor. James Williams told me himself that he uses one for all of his pig cutting. If it can stand up to dead bone it can stand up to nearly anything you might want to cut with it. They designed it specifically as an attractive and highly functional beater, capable of withstanding the occasional botched cut better than other swords in that price class. A great blade to start off with.
