Forgot to say that I was born in Cherokee, KS about a quarter mile from Cherokee County, KS.

Good to see you back Uncle Bill(sorry, that stil seems strange to me. My favorite relative was my Uncle Bill, and he passed away five and a half years ago. So seems strange to be using tha tname again. But also a good thing. You remind me of him, except that he spent his time trying to help people in Russia, not Nepal. But same type of person).

Anyways, enough sappiness for now.

Thanks for posting this Burafan. Always interested in other cultures, and this one especially, as girlfriend/friend rigght now is part Cherokee. So thanks for sharing.

The point is is that you're either Cherokee or you're not. There are people that have Cherokee blood that aren't Cherokee and then there are others that have one drop of Cherokee blood that live their live's as Cherokee.
I'm somewhere in between, but I am Cherokee first, foremost and always.
And Ken, -That- was an excellent answer!!!!

Very good point yvsa.

She's Cherokee by blood, but doesn't live it. And doesn't feel ashamed for it, loves her heritage, but she's a regular Christian American now. Plus jsut moved back to OK a few weeks ago
