I love this knife, and I am sure these questions have been asked and answered before, but I don't have the search function.

Is the Cherokee Rose differentially hardened?

If so, I'm also wondering if the Cherokee Rose has a sweet spot as the khukuris and AK Bowie do (my AK Bowie really rings there), or if it is edge hardened more fully (if that makes sense). I know I can't hear the sweet spot on all my knives, but I can definitely hear it on my YCS and AK Bowie (but not on the Dhankuta, CAK villager, Cherokee Rose or Bilton). I didn't really expect to hear it on the smaller knives, not sure if they ring or not usually.

Thanks!

All H.I's blades are differentially hardened.
and they are usually hardened in the same manner as the khuks except that the edges are also hardened, they may be softer at the tip and near the handle though.

I believe Yangdu has recently posted that at this time only the 10inch Kumar Karda was full length tempered but that she has asked the Kami's to make all future knives tempered the entire length of their blades.

My CR circa 2005 (?) does have a sweet spot. The tip is a bit soft and the stone bites a little more at the guard. However, it is a sweet, sweet knife. One of my favorites:D:thumbup:
