Here it is again, the Chesapeake Bay Knife Club khukuri. Many people who did not get in on the first run want one now and I can't blame them. It is a very nice and well done little nine incher. Blade is about 5/16 inch thick and maybe 1 & 1/8 wide. Weighs about 6 oz. Some are calling it a "ladies khukuri."

Pala tells me I was about $15 low on my first run estimate -- based on a run that was done maybe 7 or 8 years ago. So, the price will be $80 on this and subsequent runs.

If you want one call or email me and I'll log you in.

Edutsi Bill isn't this about the size that Yangdu used to carry on the night bus to keep unwanted advances at bay?

My g'daughter may want one.I will ask her tomorrow when she wakes up.
I like mine for a little "pocket" knife as well. The cute little thing has a bigger bite than most people would realize. It will take soft green branches about 1" thick in about 3 chops.

If you mix milk of magnesia with vodka and orange juice do you get a phillips screwdriver?

Khukuri FAQ

Hi Uncle Bill,

Ooooooh yes,

Count me in on one! I'm glad that these
are back. Any idea of roughly when these
will arive?

Hi Ray:

As a matter of fact there are 10 more in the air right now. Called Gelbu last night and he said he had shipped them a couple of days ago.

Email me with your address and I'll send one in about 10 days -- I'm guessing. Give or take a couple of days either way.

And, Yvsa, this is just about the size that Yangdu and her sisters carried to discourage the advances of amorous males.

This is a beautiful little khukuri, Uncle Bill -- any chance of getting a khuk made in the same basic style (with the heavy brass accents) but a little larger, say 12" -- maybe even 15?" I really, really like the way that the brass is used on the handle and sheath -- not too much, but more than the average khuk.
