The 15th Chesapeake Knife Show is happening in 2 weeks (Sunday Dec. 9). I know that quite a few forumites attended last year. Who's going?

You can get more info about the show here.

Hey Barry,

I'll be there. If fact, I made the decision to attend after our conversation at the SECKS. I plan on unveiling a couple of new fixed blades at the show if all goes as planned.

Looking forward to seeing you there.

Regards,

David

I'll be attending with my son David. I hope to see some old friends and make some new ones. It is a great show, don't miss it.

Tom, the weather here has been pretty mild. But it can get cold fast.

Sorry I didn't see your post! I made one myself today about this show, also listing the table holders as well, I plan on showing up there Saturday night so I'll see you guys/gals there!

David,
Fantastic! Looking forward to seeing the new stuff (The old stuff too).

pst pjc,
You picked a great show to be your first. You will enjoy it.

Tom,
If everything up in MD is like it is here in VA then it will probably be in the 60's and DRY. Too bad we all don't get to live in Hawaii.

Everyone else,
Stop by the table and say Hi. I am not sure if I have met you all. Phillip and I will be in the big room. You can't miss us. We should be the only identical twin knifemakers there.

Hey everyone. I'll be there. It will be my second year at the Chesapeake Show and I can't wait. We should make a place for all of us to meet and put some faces to the names. Any suggestions? Hope to see you all there.

I definiely plan on being there. I've been looking forward to it ever since the SECK show. If the weather continues like it is, it will most likely be beautiful. We're getting some rain this weekend, but it has been so warm that shorts and short sleeves are plenty. The only problem coming from Hawaii would be the flight over would be longer than the show. You'd need to head down to DC and see the sights to make it worth your trouble. Oh wait, that might be bad for your health, what with all the anthrax cruising around the capitol area....

Gonna try to make it there if situation allows. Of course, I'll just be socializing and maybe a little trading after the recent NY show.

Barry, hold on there a minute. There's 2 of you??? Is that legal? :D

Dave

As of right now I'm planning on coming, we're probably going to make a long weekend of it..

I'll probably be there. Can anyone tell me how far it is from Northern Va (Manassas)? Directions would be nice too :)

Thanks,
Chris

You could try mapquest.com and get pretty accurate directions and distance. My gut feel is from the Manassas area, you're probably looking at a little over an hour, maybe 1.5 hours. But that's just gut feel. I'm about a two hour drive southwest of Timonium, in southern MD. It is well worth the drive, even if you don't plan to buy anything.

I have been looking forward to this since last year. Knife shows are few and far between in the Metro DC/Baltimore area so we have to take them when we get them.

It looks like Pat Crawford won't be there this year.....too bad. He makes some of my favorites. By the way.....what happened to Pat Crawford's website?

Lifter4HIM,
Even though the news says otherwise, human cloning is nothing new. Phillip and I were cloned back in the 60's. I don't think it was legal back then either but that didn't stop them. BTW, Sure hope you can make it to the show. I just might bring that big "bird" for you to drool over.

mtnbkr,
I am guessing that you will have about a 2 hour drive. You can find a map to the show at the shows website. www.knifeshows.com
