chewed up yard keeper

I picked up a yard keeper on the exchange recently that seems to have been a dog's chew toy. The handle has been gnawed on but the knife appears to have the original edge and the black coating shows no smoothing. I'm sure Swamp Rat could put a new handle on it but I'm not a fan of the original handle.

Who around here has put a new handle on a yard keeper or similar knife? I'd like to send this one off to someone for a new handle.

Look around for a user named "Dick." He is from Thailand with lots of experience on teh Swamp Rat / Busse forums. A great guy - he and I have had several transactions.

I've seen some of his custom work on Howling Rats, etc., and changing out grips. Beautiful stuff.

I think 360 had one from him??

Also if the handle is resperine (or whatever its called) it can be melted and shaped to your specifications I've heard...
