Hi folks,

I have been privileged to be the 'staff photographer' for Ed and Kathy Wormser's Chicago show since its inception in 2004. As always, I serve the makers and collectors with their need for professional-quality portfolio shots.

The show has a combination of the highest quality (read: expensive) knives, alongside smart utility users. The Tactical Invitational draws in a distinct audience, and never disappoints in hardware.

Here are the majority of the knives I shot there for makers. (I also have a set of (14) Wolfgang Loerchner's, sold by one collector which went to a dealer's (Don Guild's) private collection. Some which went to another dealer. I will edit and post them separately soon.)

It is hard for me to headline each and every maker, as they all deserve equal billing. That said, I'll show a few of MY favorite photo shots as teasers for you here...

WOW...incredible knives and photography too! Coop your pictures make the knives look like the are popping out of the screen.

Pleasure to view them,
Peter

When does Chicago have a knife show. Where do they have a knife show? I would love to find information about it, Any links would be helpful.

Hi Phil,

Sorry you were unaware (this year). Check out: www.chicagocustomknifeshow.com for next year's dates. (Edit: Looks like the server is down temporarily)

Thank you, friends. Popping out of the screen? Excellent! Just as planned. ;)

I wish they popped out of the screen. I'd have LOTS of knives. They do though. Your photos always have that right look to them, regarding contrast/color and they DO jump out.

you must have to bring quite the stack of backgrounds to these shows!
It's cool to see you getting these gigs, a guy so emamoured with his subject matter and all, and madman skills:thumbup:

It's also cool that you choose to share your hard work with us dweebs:D
Thank you!

Thanks for sharing, Coop. Great photos and so nice to see what those of us who could not attend missed. Awesome work captured by awesome images!

Thanks Coop. Boy, do I love those Imel daggers!

Wolfe seems to have inspired a few makers...
