It also "approaches" cruelty to mention Lou's and Portillo's to me ... trapped as I am in Northern Virginia.:( Oh well, I can always imagine John chowing down -- have a pie in my honor!!:)
 
I have a Lou Malnati's 1000 feet from my home. They know me by first name.

Post up some info a week before the event and see if us windy city folks can attend.
 
I don't have an event planned I was just trying to see if some HOGS in the Chicago area wanted to get together, compare knives and do some chopping. I'm open to all ideas (well almost all :)).
 
Man, we make it a point to hit the Buffalo Grove Malnoti's and the Vernon Hills or Dundee rd. Portillo's when we go to Chicago on biniz trips.

Wish they'd expand to Buckeye country...
 
I feel the BEST pizza in chicago is Uno's or Due's deepdish but ONLY at the downtown original ones. The Uno's franchise chain pizza sucks.
Lou's has really good thin crust!!
Portillo's Chili Dogs and chocolate cake !!!
And if your south of O'hare, go get ribs at The Patio Rest.
 
If you can make this happen I can bring the Chuckette' by, chopping will never be the same for you though.... :)

What, no Gino's? I would take their's or Lou's any day of the week:thumbup:

...but you HOGs have all your priorities off. Make a side trip through Rockford and hit Uncle Nicks for the worlds, uhhh...healthiest Gyros;)
 
Seriously guys, the only place for pizza isn't Lous. That sausage disc that they use grosses me out. You guys need to check out Pequod's near Lincoln Park and the other location in Morton Grove. It is without a doubt the best there is. Uno and Due downtown are pretty good too.
