I just wanted to let some see this knife. I wanted to test the waters.

What do you guys think about it.

Its made with tamahagane, convex ground by hand to the edge with Japanese water stones. No machines used but on the handle. It has no secondary grind on the blade.

German Silver pins. Dark Brown Burl Wood handles. The picture is in black and white.

3\16th thick blade. 8.9" length

comes with handmade leather sheath.

It will Rockwell out to about 62+

Differently heat treated by hand.

Along with being designed as a hunter, it looks like it would also work great for food preparation. I like it.

Did you make the tamahagane?

it would be a good kitchen knife but the blade is thick. you would want to do hard kitchen work with it. i will tell you this. used on a wood cutting board in the kitchen you would sharpen that knife like twice a year.

master rich chen makes the tamahagane. i just make the handles. i design the shape of the knives.

there is a thread on this forum about how we make the tamahagane.
