I bought a Chile forge burner about a year ago and built a propane tank forge. Its held on to the forge body with a collar and three bolts. And today I started to make a new stand for it and went to take the burner out and couldn't get it out. it had flared at the end. Is this normal? Should I just leave it? Should i try and heat it up and hammer it back? It's still stuck in the forge right now. I was wondering if anyone has had this happen.

I just watched a video the other day where black bear forge had the same thing happen. He had welded every day for two years in his and it just destroyed the body. When he went to take out the burners (he bought a new forge body)the tips were flared and he had to replace them

Ha I've watched that video before I just forgot about it. He went 2 years and a lot of forge welding.ive only been using it for a year and forge welded a few times. So I guess I'll just leave it in there for a while longer and replace it when I replace the forge . Just glad to know it's normal and not something I did to screw it up. Thanks for the quick response Kentucky.

No problem. Can you replace just the burner tip? I’m not real familiar with chilis burners but I know their good.
