I wanted to make my Chill a bit more stylish and unique. Quite satisfied for now with the mods I made to it. It's not finished and not perfect yet, but I'm happy to share the progress. Hope to finish it this weekend, so then I'll update it here again (with some better pictures as well).

Here she is.

Beautiful! Don't forget a bit of file work (jimping) on top of the blade just beyond the handle, they've always needed that anyway.

I took down the thumb ramp on mine, so that it's one continuous line across the top of the knife. I really love RJ Martin's designs, and the chill is BY FAR the best $20 you can spend on a knife. No contest.

It's kind of funny, my two main EDC's right now are the Chill, and Benchmade Adamas. It's almost comical to see them next to each other, I swear I could probably hide the chill in between the scales of the Adamas, and carry both at once.

One of the things I love about the chill is that it's so small and slim, yet still comfortable for someone with large hands.

I wish that they would make a slightly larger premium version, with high end blade steel, and multiple carry options. That knife would be a winner.

I'm not sure if this may irritate some, but I've had better luck with the blade steel on the Chinese Kershaws than I have the lower end USA models with Sandvik. The Chinese stuff goes shaving sharp in an instant, and holds the edge very well. It's a bit trickier to get the Sandvik to hold a razor edge.

I made some scales from some ipe flooring scraps and made a black Micarta spacer for it. The ipe polished up really nice.

I got another chill to mod. I think I'll use some osage orange or maple for the scales and possible take off the thumb ramp like Iman30 did.

Great job! The Chill is a great knife for the price, just got my serrated Chill from Cabela's for $12.99 on sale (closeout, I think).

Update:

Finished it 2 weeks ago, but didn't have time to make pictures and upload it.
Thanks for the commands btw!

Modifications made to the original Chill:
-Removed secondary bevel 2 convex
-Polished blade to near mirror polish (didn't want a full mirror polish since you see much easier when it's dirty)
-Polished the pocked clip
-Replaced black G10 scales with hardwood scales (polished and finished with varnish)
-Replaced black "spacer" in between the scales also with hardwood (polished and finished with varnish)

Notes:
-Noticed the hardwood I used was not ideal since it splits quite easily (not sure which one, but I guess it's merbau or meranti).
-Next time I want a finer wood structure as well (so I'm able to get a better polish).
-Accidentally added screw holes for tip down carry as well, but I only use tip up :o (next time I'll leave them out and the lanyard hole too)
-Didn't modify the thumb ramp yet, not sure if I want to remove it or add some jimping.
-Sometimes I miss a thumb stud to it for ease of opening. Now and then when I deploy with the flipper it doesn't open entirely, having a thumb stud would make this easier.
-Oh and it cuts like crazy :D
-@lman30 some high end blade steel would be cool!

For those who made modifications to their chill as well, I'm curious about some pics. So add them to this topic
