I buy quality. When I find something exceptional (like INFI for example ;)) I like to share it with like minded folks who appreciate such things.

I'm always in the search for a better bourbon... and by gawd I think I've found it!!! This sh!t is goooooooooood. It may be the smoothest bourbon I've ever had... and I've had a lot. :o

It is about the same price as Makers Mark, but clearly smoother (and stronger).

Do yourself a favor and go buy a bottle. Don't ruin it by mixing it with anything... well... maybe ice.

Gratuitous Busse porn (that is my meaner... that I made even meaner with a convex edge and a few mods) Now it is a Meaner'er street...;)

Smoother than Makers Mark  ME WANT...

...in the meantime, sipping Knob Creek again tonight...over.

I haven't had Knob Creek yet but I bought a small bottle being kept in my pantry. I'm planning to try it at the end of this quarter. I've been a wine person for the past three years and have only recently started to explore the world of unbelievable spirits. My friend (and guide) believes I'll like Knob Creek quite a lot, so Im looking forward to two weeks from now.

Cool. I haven't had the 1792 yet.

I know Makers and Knob are popular and all, but honestly I think there are a handful of clearly better tasting Bourbons out there in the same (and sometimes cheaper) price range.

If you haven't already, I highly suggest you try these Bourbons:

- Elmer T. Lee, Single Barrel Bourbon (~$28/750ml)
- Pappy Van Winkle, Family Reserve 15yr Bourbon 107proof (~$45/750ml)
- Four Roses, Small Batch Bourbon (~$38/750ml)

Tonight I'm having Wild Turkey Rare Breed, a cask strength Bourbon at 108.2 proof. I'm not normally a fan of the regular Kickin Chicken', but this is pretty good.

And, if you can find it and are feeling like experimenting, try this:

- Van Winkle Family Reserve 13yr Rye. It's fantastic tasting goodness, really.

Barton's 1792 is from Bardstown, KY. . . The bourbon capital of the world. .. .

It is now time for my favorite breakfast. . . . A Nuclear Bacon and Bourbon Omelet!!!!!

Let's drink!!!!

Love the Bourbon's. 1792 is good stuff. Try Basil Hayden's if you haven't already. Real smooth.
