Anyone notice the new banner ad up top?

I went to the site and he makes some nice looking knives. Anyone have any experience with them?

Hi John!
I've know Deryk for a couple of years now. I've made steel for him, and have handled several of his folders. Everything that leaves his shop is "Top Shelf"! He makes some of the best put together folders that I have seen. In fact, I was so impressed that I had to have one for myself. In fact, I plan to spend a few days picking his brain when I get serious about turning out some folders of my own. I think you'll also find that he's one great person to deal with.

I've got one of the Talonite/carbon fiber models on the way in a few weeks. It's a great looking knife IMO. Can't wait to get it.

From what I hear the 1st set of folders sold out almost right after they were posted.D.C.has mostly been making art knives except for a few pieces. In my opinion the Chimera folders are reasonably priced(350-450)They have talonite blades and carved titanium or carbon fiber handles.I'm waiting on a model 2.

Deryk puts out SUPERB knives! I met him at the Eugene Kife Show this year. A really nice guy and his folders are incredible. Perfect in everyway. His name will soon become very well known due to his quality of work. Get his knives now while you can...without a long waiting list.

I just got one of the Deryk Munroe Chimera's from BladeGallery.com. I've got a pretty big collection . . . most of them relatively high end pieces, and I've got to say that this is one of the slickest knives in my collection. The action is smooth, there is no wiggle to the blade, and it is a beautiful knife. It looked like BladeGallery.com has a pretty good selection of them.

It is a great looking knife (it closely resembles the Darrel Ralph Krait). Senator has one that I've been fortunate enough to handle and it is a very well made knife for the money.

Later,
Chris

Thanks for the great comments on the Chimera and on BladeGallery.com.

Deryk asked my to post that the prices on the Chimera will be raised $50 each as of October 15th. Any folks on our wait list will get the current prices, rather than the raised prices.

I got bored at work today and clicked on the link I had stored in my Favorites...and there it was...the knife I've been looking for all along. The cf Chimera!!! That, or the crackle / lightening Chimera. Email me if you know where I can get one. TIA!!!

Absolutely fantastic knife - workmanship first-rate - beautiful design - carved Ti handles with selective anodizing is purty(understated by a lot!) - one of nicest in design & execution I've seen come along. Other than that I like mine a lot!!!

Have a nice day!
Bill
