China-made Blackjack

Local flea market has a fella selling a Blackjack Grunt, like the one in this picture that I stole from the internet:

I was a little surprised, because I thought the Blackjacks were all American-made, but the internet is telling me different.

I'm lazy, so instead of spending the next 45 minutes trying to find the history of the company, I'll ask the experts.

It's easy to fall for the "common knowledge" that any Chinese-made knife is not going to be as good as it's American-made counterpart, but I would like some kind of objective comparison of the two versions of the Grunt, if anybody knows.

The Grunt was part of the Blackjack International line. Decent quality using knives, sourced overseas, and much less expensive than the traditional Blackjack knives.

I have a smaller Blackjack Anaconda that was made in China, cheap sheath, is a beater and the guard is a little loose.
