two types of knife buyers exist in this world.
those who use them, and those who don't.
people largely would lookout for a cheap workhorse or a steal.
it wouldn't be to surprising an outcome should more folks in future be more familiar and quite appreciative with today's underdog...
by and large, we all buy what we each appreciate in value and money.
superior products are generally a select market especially if they are valued at well above the average blue collar pocket.

Why should they? So far I have not noticed, that the Taiwan (not China) made fixed blades would not match the quality and performance of the Seki made ones.
