I am going to be staying with family next week in Ocean City (rhymes with something else ;):D, going for nostalgia) MD, and want to head down to Chincoteague for the day. I'm not going for the pony swim, it will just be a day trip. Anywhere neat to stop by? Go fishing? Any shops sell cutlery down there? Don't get much from the municipal site.

If you can, reserve a room at the Waterside. My family stayed there many times. They have a nice pier to fish from. A short distance down the road there is a good pay to fish pier as well. I target Flounder when down there, they are plentiful and big.

Edit:
Right right... day trip... sorry^. I forget the name of the public pier, but the Waterside should serve as a good landmark for finding it.

silenthunterstudios,

There aren't any knife stores in the area, but there is one art shop on Chincoteague, right on the main drag, that sells embellished Spydercos and Kershaws. I wish I could remember the name of the place, but it escapes me at the moment. I think the guy that runs the place is a bit of a knife nut as well. Every time I've stopped by there, he had a SantaFe Stoneworks Kershaw clipped in his pocket.

I'll have to stop at the pier and the gift shop, and check it out. My sister and her boyfriend are heading down there also, he's a knife nut too, I'll tell them.

Going "down the ayshun" to the seaside resort of OC again this year with family. Going to take a day trip to Chincoteague and Crisfield. The shore alone is great, I would like to spend a couple days in town for vacation. My little brother and his girlfriend are going down this weekend with her family to one of the campgrounds.

Anywhere interesting to visit in Crisfield? Going to make a drive from OC to Chincoteague to Crisfield to Assateauge, and finally collapse when I get back to OC.
