Chinese Buck 271

Anyone gamble the few dollars on this knife and see if the s30v Steel is worth dang?

Are you sure it's made in China? Everything I see says US made or stamped USA on the blade. If correct, I would say the s30v is very good.

That model is not made in China. Those with S30V steel are made in the U.S.A. in Idaho. DM

The 271 is made in the U.S.A. Also S30V is a U.S. steel. The Chinese make neither.

The knife on the auction sites says USA but ships from Hong Kong... Sounds like a fake...
I should have read it closer,ad says Buck Style,shows photo of USA Buck knife and then at the bottoms says 12C27M...

Yes, the model 271 is a well known counterfeited model. The size is slightly different than a real one if you have the two side by side. Here is an ad from a Chinese website known to sell counterfits. Notice the $11.68 price includes Air Mail shipping from China..... that makes it a really cheap knife.
