A guy selling knives on a Dutch auction site claims that Case has (some of ?) his knives made in China since 1991. I asked him where he got that knowledge and he told me "on bladeforums.com", which quite puzzled me, cause all hear over here is stories about that great American knife brand called Case, one of the few still left...

Am i missing something? Please enlighten me!

There was a thread a while back where someone said that a local dealer had told him that story. The auction guy must have read just that post and ignored all the rest.

I think if it was true, there would have been an awful lot of talk about it...

Chinese Case:confused::confused::eek::eek::eek::eek::mad:
B...L...A...s...P...h...e...m...Y!!!!!

:D Well, maybe not quite to the blasphemy level but it's at least a very bad rumor. There may be a person or two of Asian decent working in the Bradford plant though, which is just fine with me. ;)

in a thread awhile back, it was stated absolutely by a few knowledgeable folks (including Tony Bose) that NO Case knives are made whole or in part, in China. roland

Yup, Exactly!.

I would wager that perhaps the only Chinese that makes it in the door at W.R. Case & Sons Cut. Co. is a little Chinese take out now and then.:D

Yes, they are probably fakes.

Some chinese folks have no integrity.:thumbdn:

Okay, we've established that Case does not make their knives in China. (Which most of us already knew.)

BlazenGem, those comments don't belong on these boards and I guess even after it was pointed out to you you didn't feel the need to edit them. I would suggest that you take more care in the future if you wish to continue here.

This thread is being closed. Let's move on.
