Chicago Cutlery kitchen knives, as I've read from several sources, are now manufactured in China and the quality has dropped. Rather than debate the need and tolerance for imported merchandise or bash China, I have a quick question.
Are the Chinese knives easily distinguished from the older American-made knives? Is "China" stamped on the blade? Printed on the packaging?
Specifically, I'm a fan of the Walnut Traditions knives and would like to score a few more, perhaps a block set. But I don't want to be 'tricked' into buying the new imports.
