Apparently, the USA is not the only country where fear of knives is a problem. An article in the Los Angeles Times (September 17, 2014) by Julie Makinen "For China's Uighurs, knifings Taint an Ancient Craft" is an article that explains how this Muslim ethnic group in China has had its knife-making industry hampered by new laws and fears due to recent stabbing attacks. Interesting article, though I have no special knowledge of China.
