HRC File test = 45/40 ( 45 bites / 40 skates ) That's some soft steel ..

Knife burrs like an olympic champion .. ( That soft steel )

Knife is comfortable , easy to use .. Sheath is ..... functional cheap plastic !

Factory edge was .................. non existent ! ( Had to grind my own - pretty much )

Factory bevel was 18 degrees and with such soft steel , I'm not sure that is going to work out so well .

Now I did not test HRC before slicing rope ..
So the soft steel kind of explains what is going on ..
Now , I used my guided knife sharpener to resharpen the knife and clean up the bur . ( Took a lot of work )
So I will slice again , unfortunately I left the bevel at 18 degrees .. So the edge may roll @ 200 or so again .

What a piece of crap. Not Fallkniven. Not even VG10.

Nothing can happen in China without the govt's approval or looking the other way.
China refuses to recognize patents and IP rights of other countries. Hence China is
the source of over 80% of the world's countefeit goods.
I won't buy anything made in China if I can avoid it.

I cut rope with the guided knife sharpener edge .. @ 18 degrees
The edge folded like an Olympic champion @ 100 slices ..
4 strops of leather and it was cutting ( 2 each way ) ..
I was going to do a 60 grit 22 degree edge ... Butt!

I was doing a few knifes for 80 grit testing and so the Chinese F1 got a 22 degree 80 grit edge .
 
Ok so this is the last one ( I think ) for now ( test )
Edge was reground @ 22 degrees and given a 80 grit grind .
Previously it rolled the edge at 18 degrees and 80 grit for a 200 fail
This time at 22 degrees it failed at 250 slices and did not roll the edge .
So a $25 knife that fails at 250 .. That would be 10 cents a slice knife .
The edge stropped back relatively easily , though not quite as well as at 18 degrees . ( But no edge roll )
Hate this knife / don't hate this knife / = Cheap price with average performance with a value index of 10 cents a slice .
