Chinese folder handle modifications

You maybe think it is a stupid idea but I need your opinion...

It is possible to remove the "amlite coating" from the handle ? What is the better method ? How looks like the scales without coating ?


If you have the possibility to change the Chinese handle color, material or design, what's your wish ?

My preference go to micrata scales (like the Viele model) nothing else to change : it will be the knife of my dreams !!!

the almite coating is "supposed" to be a tough coating but in my experience it chips off easily. taking it off shouldn't be too hard with some fine grit sand paper. The aluminum underneath is pretty soft, if i can change the handles i'd change to Ti or carbon fiber just like the customs
