I believe we have reached a stage where there are now cheap Chinese knock offs of Quality Chinese brands. Just when you thought that you heard it all!

It's your money. Buy what you can and use it. When it fails you, don't complain. Buy from elsewhere.

Remember: they don't care.

It’s unfortunate China has its eyes on our relatively speaking small American knife market. I guess they’re running out of markets to take over manufacturing from us.

In before 20 pages of mostly self righteous arguments and an eventual thread shutdown. D Delgadonine hit the nail on the thread end of story.

Finally a thread set on self destruct from the start, gonna get this one in before it closes--- ahem... if magnacut can't legitimately be shipped to China, how come there are quite a few Chinese knife companies *cough griffin cough* putting out knives in steels they claim to BE, out of magnacut?

Chinese Mfrs will usually make an item to the Specifications of the buyer. Trick is for the buyer to do constant and reliable QC checks, so they are not tempted to "cheap-out" on "invisible" features, such as with knives, steel type/quality.
