chinese made pumas come out of some company in Oregon, the puma companys prime distributer in the US something about a court case forcing the german home company to allow him to have knives made in china with the puma logo, the home company isn't very happy with him they were proud of the fact they made thier knives in Germany who manufacters the best steel, figures a liberal state like Oregon to screw up a good thing, something about not being able to sell German knifes cause their too expensive, so when you buy a puma make sure you buy a German one ,they are made out of better steel, chinese steel is mostly made out of recycled steel (Old chevys and scrap),the chinese are trying that with their copy cat motorcycles too but are about to get shut down because they are unsafe.

Makes sense to me.Sux.I think every big manufacturer has a Chinese line now.

One word: Sentences.

I'm told that amphetamines have that effect.

Countdown until the next China Sucks, Buy American thread is posted:

Yeah, old Chevies are lots easier to come by in China than iron ore....

No they're not, however, the Chinese are stringent environmentalists who no doubt see the benefit of importing junkers as opposed to strip mining the Earth.

I'm a Chinese in Beijing. Before I read your guys' post, I thought my English language skill was well enough to understand what Americans said. But now I realize my English language skill still need some improvement. What does the word "sentences" and "commas" mean here? Obviously not punctuation. confusing...

Welcome to Bladeforums! Don't worry, no one else can understand this thread either.

Once upon a time Puma was a brand found on some pretty nice knives. That was a long time ago.

Well, here's what I got:

Chinese made Pumas are being made by company in Oregon!
Puma's prime distributer in the US won a court case forcing the German Mother Company to allow him to have knives made in China with the Puma logo. The Mother Company isn't very happy with him. They were proud of the fact they made their knives in Germany, who manufactures the best steel.

Figures a liberal state like Oregon would screw up a good thing, and decide in the favor of a court case allowing an Oregon company to sell Chinese-made "German" knives . So when you buy a Puma, make sure you buy a German one.

They are made out of better steel. Chinese steel is mostly made out of recycled steel (Old Chevys and scrap). The Chinese are trying to make copies of foreign motorcycles with old Chevys and scrap, but the factories that make them are about to get shut down because the motorcycles they turn out are unsafe.

Which is ridiculous, of course. Everyone knows that Chinese steel is made out of old cans and puppies, and heat-quenched in children's tears.

Thanks for your explanation in detail. But you know, although Chinese have much less liberty than Americans, and killing common animals such as dogs and cats is not forbidden in law in China, China is not hell:D
