I purchased the china sharpie cause it only cost $12.00 and i figured it would do for a beater to save usage on my real ones and the first thing i did with it was clean and cut up a few squirrels for dumplin's and after i was done i gave it a couple of strokes on the arkansas and it was razor shaving sharp and still holds it's edge very well and the fit and finish is excellent. Did i just get very lucky or are they actually making good cheap knives? Because of this one i have already put in an backorder for the china 160ot for a cheap beater version of this model.

My 129OT holds an edge really well. Some of the early 34OT's from the new stuff didn't impress me, but the Classics series have all been good that I have personally handled.

On a Sharpfinger note, I saw at K-Mart Friday a Sharpfinger under the "Outdoor Life" name, that said "Made In America" on the packaging.

I think we are going to find that the fixed blades are going to be ok. The folders are currently being reviewed and prelim reports are poor at best.
The blades are ok, it's the material and fit that are the downfall. Its the number of parts in a folder that will show the craftmanship of the knife makers more quickly than the fixed.
More as the reports are delivered..
