They sell them on bladeauction.com that are latchless. Does anyone know how I can add my own latch? I wanna get one, but I need one with a latch. Anyone want to sell me theres? :)

Because the ones that come "factory" with a latch are done so poorly.
The latch is aluminum, or pot metal, with a little plastic button inserted in the side to try to make a tension lock. Very disapointing on a stainless bali.

The one I got has another problem, too. The pivot pin on the safe handle started spinning independent of the handle. I tried to spin it back, but it just doesn't want to stay there.

But.... It is a stainless steel bali with a thick blade. the swedge on the weehawk is sharpened.
The "mystery" inserts are dovetailed into the handles. and the bali is descently heavy. At least mine is. I've heard that some of the newer ones are chrome plated Zamack (pot metal).

If you still want one, I will sell you mine. Email me with an offer.

I wouldn't even think about trying to make a latch for that piece.., unless you have a machine shop handy.

I'm almost sure Josh (BladeAuction.com)...has more with the latches still in place. He took them out himself...because as mentioned ~~~> THEY SUCK !

If I were you I'd just right Josh..., Josh@PVKnife.com....and ask if he has a few left with a latch in them. The stainless steel versions actually are darn good for the money and swing very much like some older PCC Customs, but of course there are some discrepancies with fit, finish, blade steel, etc. A good "thrasher" though!!

Good luck with it!
