I love the Chinook! I suspect I should have held out for a II, but I was able to afford a used I so I bought it. I like the blade shape of the I and much prefer the grip shape of the II.
So...what I ended up doing was to put my Chinook I on the belt grinder. I used a small contact wheel to deepen the finger grooves at the front and rear. The positions of the pivot and clip kept me from duplicating the shape of the II, but I did manage to steepen the angles enough to make me happier with it.

Am I crazy?
I still want a Chinook II, though...
