Chinook 4 Demo Video

You are not alone.... I see a future purchase of at least 2!

Looks nice. I wish it didn't have such a extreme trailing point though. Love the FFG and the thinner blade and handle.

Yes, this looks really nice.

I will definitely consider it for the future knife purchases list.

Squeeeee! My most anticipated blade. Love the Chinook and the Powerlock, so this one is a no brainer. Only thing that remains to be seen is if I like it enough to buy a 2nd.

OMG, that Chinook 4 is going to be awesome. I have it on my must have list. I missed the 3 original ones, I slept on various deals that I could have picked them up and I kick myself for not buying them when the time was right,.

I have been looking forward to the chinook 4. The new power lock is a plus, not sure how i feel about slimmer and the extreme trailing point, but im sure it will grow on me like the ATR has. Ill most definetly be acquiring one when they come out.

Did the other versions have such an extreme trailing point?

^
I don't own the older ones, but from pics I have seen, it appears this one is a bit more extreme than past versions. Might be an optical illusion because of the thinner blade, but the tip definitely looks further back to me. I would have loved to see it slightly less curved, but Eric explains the purpose behind it in the video so it makes sense.

Well take a look at the older ones...... the only real difference I can see is the Chinook 4 looks a lot thinner

You and me both , I cannot wait ...Only thing that would of been better IMHO would of been a ball bearing lock and a made in USA Chinook ,but I'll take this model ...

I am happy to see s30v making an appearance on japan made knives. Ive never been a vg10 fan.

Beyond pumped for this one. I'm glad they made it thinner, it'll make EDCing much more realistic for me. This is a must have!

Power Lock ,yes.
Thinner, no. :thumbdn:

Have to see what the actual specs are when it comes out before I decide for sure.

I have a Chinook 3 that I don't use too often. I got it used in vg condition for $90 a few years ago. The blade has few scratches on it now.

It's not light weight...5.8 ozs.

Great pics Bohawg, thanx.

No finger choil, the guard allows getting close to edge.

James is about light and fast. He's still teaching Martial blade craft, a skill he's excelled at for years. He's also in great shape, so if you live in the Pacific North West and you have a hankerin' for some training, You might check him out. I did the "Riddle of Steel" with James some years back and still feel I learned a great deal even for daily life.
