I might be interested if it doesn’t have the defect that the 4 had. If you squeezed gently in the closed position, the blade would contact the backspacer.

Absolutely! It really fit the idea of producing a folding Bowie knife.
Pair that blade with the strength of the Powerlock and I think it would fulfill the original vision perfectly.

I'd be giddy for a Chinook I throwback with whatever steel is deemed appropriate.

Edited to add: I'd be equally overjoyed for a C-23 Renegade throwback. I don't understand why it wasn't more popular? Maybe ahead of it's time?

I'd like to see a 4 inch blade, a traditional Bowie shape, and a compression lock.

The blade should resemble a Bagwell Hell's Belle or a Sal Gesser Respect Bowie. I'm sure Jim Keating would approve.

I think stabman idea of the OG Chinook blade shape with the new lock would be a winner! If they added a swanky steel like cruwear or magnacut (as long as it's tough) would be the cream on top.

Yes, one of those steels would certainly fit the motif of the knife for sure.
