Is there one available, or in the works?
I like to recommend knives to my students/colleagues that have functional trainer/drones, or ones that have similar cheap knockoffs that can be made into trainers/drones.

Steve - There is a plan for a drone. We're currently still developing the model. There might even be MBC variation. The "general" market and the "Hunting" market seem to be receiving the model very well. James is still working with the design to determine possible refinements.

We expect this model will be around for some time which permits long range development. It is a modern (& we think superior) variation of a traditional concept.

Sal,

Thanks for the reply. Everything that I have seen and read makes me believe that this will be another home run for your crew in Golden. I just ordered mine. I read that JAK wanted to tweak the design a little. I'm sure I won't be the only one getting the "improved" version down the road.

In the meantime, after working with the design for a while, I will be looking to place the Gunting on the the top of my list of recommended tactical cutlery.

I can't wait to receive both of these great designs.

Sal,
When you say a MBC variation, do you mean like a gunting impact-drone? I thought the Chinook in it's current sharp state was a MBC model.
Is the Chinook being positioned in the market differently now that some sales feedback has formed?

Ken

Hi Ken. Not large differences and we're still refining and testing. Currently the "hunting" market is favorably reacting to the Chinook as it is. If the changes (assuming there are any) drift away from the particular features that attract the Hunting market, it would be more favorable to provide both. for example; indexing for rotation, etc. Too soon to really discuss at this time.

Hi, Mr. Glesser--I was just wondering if the Chinook drone is ready and available yet...if not, what's the timeframe on its release? And how much might it possibly cost?

Thank you for your time, and be safe and well!

Hi Bayani. Sorry for the late reply. Been very busy lately.

At this time we do not have any of that info. Although I can say that drones ususally cost as much as live blades. They're not much less expensive to produce.

Okay then, I guess I'll just wait till the improved MBC Chinook with the drone are on the market, and I'll just pick them up as a set...

I thank you both for your replies--be safe and well.
