Hello,

I got the chance to play and cut with a Chinook 2 partially serrated....:p

In the forest, this knife serrated) was able to cut and cut everything I present to it.
The serration are deep and cut like crasy when other Plain edge will do it in two passes.
I am amazed !

Of course this an heavy solid folder and the Manix is its bro'.
But handling both of this knives... well the Chinook got better ergonomics and its serrations are deadly to any task I have found during woodcraft.

Pushing with the thumb during hard cuts is easier on the Chinook II and IMHO after some testing this knife is an absolute folder king in the wood.

Other users like me ?
I am going to write a review on this amazing cutting friend.

Cheers

You are right on with this one. I receintly got a CE Chinook II and this monster can do anything and yet rides well IWB. :D

I since have received a PE - but I think that the CE will be the one as it just can do more.

Yeah, the first day I got my CE Chinook II, I was messing with it while watching TV ... and that's how I learned how sharp the serrations (and how smooth the pivot) were:

I depressed the lockbar with my thumb, and the weight of the blade swinging shut sank the serrations straight into the back of my middle finger to their full (large) tooth depth.

LOL, The same happened to me when I got the CE version. I guess I was lucky, the tooth only went to a bit less than half.
