This is maybe a VERY specialised question, i already have a Manix, wich is a great knife btw, but i am considering a Chinook as my FMA blade. The question is a Chinook I or Chinook II? I need to use it to stab and use it heaven and earth grip for FMA style knifefighting. What are the benefits of the Chinook II against the Chinook I?

The Chinook II is stronger then the Chinook I. The clip can be positioned 4 ways on the Chinook II. Either one would be an excellent MBC knife, but I prefer the "evolved" form of the Chinook II. :)

My training partner has a Chinook II, and loves it. Especially in reverse grip. I even made a matching aluminum trainer, now he won't use any of his other trainers when we practice. . . . ;)

It is excellent for tip ripping and hooking. . . but this is a function of the blade design, which didn't change that much between the two variations.
So either one will function pretty much the same.
