I need some feed back on the Chinook II. Any pro's or con's about the knife. Thanks

I've only been trying to type this for an hour...(you gotta luv work sometimes :barf: ). I'll keep this short...I'm very happy with mine performs like a champ. I find the draw on from the tip down carry very smooth and natural.

I'm completely satisfied with mine. It's built to last and withstand serious use and punishment. I trust that MBC-rated lock more than any other I have, including Axis locks and framelocks. You will be pleased with the performance of Spyderco's S30V.

I look forward to the Manix (sp?), which is supposed to have similar construction with a leaf-shaped full flat ground blade.

There was a thread a while back on blade play. Mine has less than a hair ofvertical blade play that's almost impossible to notice -- I have to grab the tip ( ouch!) and really crank the blade up and down, and even then I can barely feel it. Sometimes I really wonder whether it's even there or just my imagination. Spyderco has assured me that it doesn't affect strength, so I'm not worried about it.

If I could only have one knife, I would pick the Chinook II.
One has to hold it and carry it in order to fully appreciate it.

I especially like the four position clip, the ergonomics, the blade shape, the overall robustness (understatement), and the lock.
It doesn't get any better than this.
