Well, Carlos, the spine of the Temperance Jr. is very thick indeed. It is fully-flat-ground, however, so the blade does not retain much of that thickness. The Chinook, however, does not start its hollow grind until much further down the blade. The trailing point Temperance Jr. is also more delicate than the leaf point because of the decreasing spine thickness.
Not to say that the Temperance Jr isn't a tank of a small knife but I wouldn't use it for any kind of chopping (not sure how a knife this size could chop anyway) and I definitley wouldn't do any prying with a Temp Jr. But that aint what a knife is for anyway, right?
