CHINOOK sheaths?

I have been carrying my CHINOOK for a week now and I think this knife calls for a sheath. Is anyone making them yet? I would like one in black leather, pancake style, open top with a forward cant for right handed use. Preferably form fitted without a retention strap for tip up carry.
Any help will be appreciated!

I mentioned the same to Mike Sastre. Hopefully, he will come up with something.

Jim,

Sorry, I just realized that you wanted a leather sheath. Mike does kydex/concealex. I like it as a pocket knife. It's smaller than my KFF though not by much. Sastre can do a breakaway belt carry for the knife folded, or IWB for the locked position.

I think I am leaning towards the latter. Then I have the option of pocket carry, or fixed carry for those times in uncomfortable places, or out in the woods.

Knife Center of the Internet can fix you up with generic leather or cordura for only 5 bucks! 5" size, I would guess...

I am not sure that I know who G2 is. Can you provide contact information? I did a search but with G2 being a blade steel it came up with alot of information that provided no help.
I found the info on sniperboy's web sight.
G2's e-mail address, from sniperboy's sight, is Chiseledge@yahoo.com should anyone want to contact him themselves.
If I have a sheath made I will post my thoughts on it here later.

Well I got my leather belt sheath for my CHINOOK from G2.

The fit, finish and function are nothing short of fantastic. The sheath fits the knife better than a glove and holds it securly. Gary had to removed the clip for proper fitment. This is not a problem for me but it should be mentioned.

I had mine made in black for right hand carry tip up. It is canted forward.

The quality of G2's sheaths are rivaled only by his customer service.

If yor CHINOOK is wearing out your pocket check out G2's sheaths. You will not be disappointed!

Whew, glad you were happy with my recommendation.

I don't have a G2 sheath yet, but I have heard so much great feedback that I will be getting one soon. Maybe my Chinook could use one?

KT, Got any pics of the new home for your Chinook?
Never mind. I got it!

Glad it arrived safely and you like it.

That is an awesome knife, it looks larger than it really is but built like a tank!

Rugged be thy middle name!

Steve, don't mind at all, appreciate it, right now I'm pretty booked up with work
and need some time off for the holidays
so I'm keeping a waiting list for sheaths
until after the New Year, have several
looking for a Chinook sheath and will notify
them around that time...
Thanks again!

Steve thank you for the heads up on G2 in the first place. Also for posting the picture. Something that I would like to have done but do not know how.

Gary thank you again for a jod so well done.

Happy Holidays to all!

No prob. KT,

Hope to see as many Spydies in G2 sheaths as there are Sebenzas.

I love kydex/concealex sheaths, but the beauty of G2's leather work is just a must for the nicer blades.

Gary, how about a dress sheath for my Gunting? Something in cordovan leather?

Vertical carry, tip down with the clip attached. Just wondering.

Don't know about the Gunting...and it's a no no on keeping the clip on, just makes for a messy layout for the sheath, sorry!

Steve I just got a Kydex SKUNKWORKS holster for my GUNTING from Terry the Bladebroker, fourcycle here on BLADEFORUMS. It is very nice.
It does orientate the knife as you indicate you would like and the clip stays on. Check it out. I am think you will like it.
