Looking at a pic of the newest generation Chinook, the clip appears to be not only reversible, but switchable for tip up or tip down carry.

Is that true?

The pics I saw were on knifecenter.

True. Actually the Chinook II will come with two separate clips to enable choosing any of the four carry options.

I LIKE the fact that the new Chinook is "lefty-friendly", but I wish that the "old" blade-shape would have been retained.

That is good news. These new Chinooks are available now, right?

It did look like the blade shape was a bit different, although I think I may like it a bit better.

If they are not available, knifecenter should remove that pic from the website, I would think.
I almost ordered one, thinking they have the newest generation, when in fact they do not.

While they are using the wrong pic :o , the description in the text is correct for the old model.

The text description for the new model should include these changes: "Chinook II," CPM-S30V, and the weight is a couple oz lighter (this change is omitted by error in the print catalogues).
