its about a 1/16 of an in. deep. seems to have been sharpened just a
little also(just a little curl on the blade. . i paid 14.00 for it. think it would b ok
to rework the blade slightly?i don't see where to upload a picture or i would.
it's the blade that dips in and comes back up, if you know what i mean.
spanish crest on blade and serial #et1998d.
got a reworked turked mauser, a FAL bayonet and the spanish all with scabbards
for 42.00 included shipping.
thanks for any help. Don

oh and i need a M8A1 Scabbard if anyone has one they want to sell.
some guy on ebay is trying to get 85-90.00 bucks for one. oh boy.

I can't even figure out what you mean by "round part" of a bayonet.

How about posting a clear picture? Then people will be able to see if the chip is even worth repairing. You can do that by linking a picture via photobucket.

I moved your post here to the Maintenance forum for help in fixing the chipped bayonet.

Pictures always help. Besides, we always like to look at blades, that's why we come here! While paid members can upload pictures directly from their computers, anyone can open a photo hosting account. I use www.photobucket.com . Download your pictures to the account and they give you a URL for each picture. Use the fourth URL choice, with the tags already in place. Copy & Paste that in your post here.

Now for the scabbard you want to buy, post this part I quoted here in Wanted to buy: Gadgets & Gear

heres a link to a picture on photobucket of one thats just like mine. as i said the chip is in the middle of the blade at the
top where it's rounds. looking at the blade from the side... it dips then curves back up. the chip is in that aria.
