Chipped and scratched blade

I just got into knives and my girlfriend bought me a ZT 0562. It's my first high end production piece and I've already chipped and scratched the blade. Any tips to repair it?

Chips? Sharpen it out. Scratches? Live with it.

Sharpen the chips out and live with the scratches. Also, stop doing whatever you are doing that is chipping the edge.

It is definitely a ****er when a new knife gets scratched up. But after that, it becomes your knife!
