Chipped Bone?

I recently purchased a Boker copperhead 140th anniversary edition. I purchased it with the intent of rotating it with my other EDC's. I've carried it 6 times since I got it. Today I reached in my pocket and pulled it out, only to find a big chip out of the handle. Considering I've only carried this to the office in my suit pants and it hasn't seen any hard use, I'm pretty bummed.

Unfortunately I have no idea where the chipped piece is. I seriously doubt Boker will do anything to fix it. Is there anyway to fill the gap with another material? I was thinking about something like J-B Weld. I don't want to ruin the knife anymore, but would like some sort of fix.

best source for info is the makers section. most people do'nt realize that replacing a handle means total dissasembly of the knife. most times a blade can be replaced by removing one pin.--dennis. a good distributor may be able to get a new replacement for you.

Ask in the Böker forum too. Unfortunately, it probably had a hairline crack when you first got it. Downer indeed.

Bummer.JB weld would make it usable and stop the chipping.Or you could mix up some 2 part epoxy and throw a little dye in it.Would maybe make it look more decent.Yea,replacing the scales cost more than the knife.

Show us a picture. I can probably repair it seamlessly.
