Greetings again everyone!

Today I received my Chiruwa Ang Khola, the one I orered to replace the one I gave to one of my friends. In brief I can say this is, so far, the finest Kukri I've ever held.

I received it a few days ago, but the weather outside was terrible so I couldn't get a proper set of pictures or review, and when you see what I mean, you'll nderstand why I had to do it some proper justice.

Unboxing it from the familiar triangular box, revealed a beautiful set that far surpassed my expectations.

Usheathing it, and giving it a proper degrease, clean and polish left me with a stunning set that was execllant in fit, finish and workmanship.

The familiar Bal Bahadur markings and cho - another outstanding piece by this man! Does anyone know if he works in factory 1 or 2? made in which city?

Well today I ran this one through the paces, and it took everything in stride. The "whack" test, along wiht an hour of chopping never even touched the edge - in fact, it would still slice a free hanging piece of paper in two without tearing it at all - a clean cut.

Very nice Snow and Steel..do you have the dimensions? if so when you get time could you post em....super looking piece..wow!

The grip fit on the grip and pommel is simply outstanding.

Not only is the fit and pommel excellant, but the grips panels are stunningly beautiful - I mean truly a work of art! the grips have streaks of white, with very very light hints of blue, swirled through like the heart of a fine exotic wood would do.

I'm going to show several pictures of these grips so you cna truly appeciate the beauty here - look at this figuring!!!

again, the pictures don't do this justice even - you REALLY need to see this inperson to understand the fine grain in these horn grips!

This one has a balance that simply screams "lets go to work!"

The looks, fit, finish, edge, hardness, grips, brass work - all excellant! If not for the cut of the cho I'd almost wonder if it wasn't machine made! I belive this piece will be a treasure in my collection, and I cannot be happier with it!

I'd love to tell mr. Bal Bahadur what a fine, outstanding piece he has made, truly a work of art. The piece I gave my friend was by him as well and was also a wonderful piece, so I'm convinced this man knows how to build a Khukri right!

I'd alos like to thank Ms. Yangdu for picking this excellant piece out - it far surpassed all my expectations!

She measures at a hair over 17" as the crow flies from tip to pommel tip. I'm unsure of weight - I have no way to measure it on hand.

All things said - I simply find this to be the finest piece yet! I hope everyone enjoyed the pics!

The fit on that looks outstanding! A fine example and impressive work. Nice pics too.

Snow, she's a beaut! I must also say you received a nice looking karda. Some resemble a chakma with a kind of sharpened edge, but your's has really nice "knife" lines. Take care.

Ang Khola style!,
This is a great knife. I use it to cut seedling trees up to 6" in diameter and its weight and balance make it easy. Three whacks and they go down without a lot of effort. Horizontal cut, notch down to cut out wedge, back side and timber.
Got mine from Gurkha House over ten years ago and its held up well.
