Hello guys,
I've written a review of a 16.5" Chiruwa Ang Khola, and thought that you all deserved the first look. Beware that it is pic intensive and not yet proofread. For those of you who already own something from HI, there are no surprises, but if you are on the edge or thinking about buying, you may find this very useful. Did you apply any finish to the handle?
 
Nice article. I can only agree with your assessment of these kukris. Quality knives that are a pleasure to use and works of functional art.

Why thank you very much; I'm not sure I'd go that far. No finish applied to the handle yet. Had I done so, I'd have to have rambled on for another page about it :D

I'm planning on finishing the handle and coating the blade. Any suggestions for either project would be greatly appreciated.

Edit, Cando, with the high polish on the blade, I am going to hot blue my CAK with an bright blue, only because I have access to many chemical treatments. There is an product called EEZOX that is a very amazing rust inhibitor, If I can find a link I'll post it.http://www.falfiles.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=191619

Well done Sir. Reviews like this are so much fun to read. It's fires up the excitement until I can get out with mine again. You also help newbees get a feel for what the khuk can do.
 
What a fantastic review,i have just received an 18.5 inch Ang khola so i found this very interesting indeed.Now i am just itching to give it a beating.Thanks very much i enjoyed the review hugely.:thumbup::thumbup::)

That is a real fine review. It causes this reader to get his butt in gear and go outside, even though it's snowing, and chop,chop get the winter teepee up.
