Hey Everyone, haven't been on here in quite a while. But with all the use my Ang Khola got the week after hurricane Ike I just had to come say Hi and post a couple pics.
The day' after the hurricane My Girlfriend and I limbed and chopped down most of a tree that was leaning against my house. Then we moved to the other branches that had come down in the yard. Over the next week I visited all my neighbors yards, chatted and limbed their branches, leaving the really thick stuff for after they figured out how to get gas and chain sharpening for their chainsaws. Everyone who saw and tried the Kukri was blown away at how well it performed.
My Chiruwa Ang Khola is 18.25 inches long, easily over 2lbs and has a nice darkish wood handle... dont remember the exact weight and wood type when I purchased it a few years ago
anyways, here are the pics!
First 2 pics are the tree after its been limbed, and I've started chopping at the bigger branches
me Chopping away
I couldnt do it alone of course! my awesome girlfriend helped too!
Look at all the wood chips flying!
starting to get to the thicker branches... man my hair looks gross...
Where to throw all these branches... on the driveway of course!
and all those smaller branches chopped into a nice pile
and some of the medium size branches to be saved for firewood!
The Camera batteries didnt last much beyond the first day, we were out of power for a whole week!
I'll try to remember to take a pic of my CAK as it is now, all scuffed up, a couple tiny dings in the blade, well used and loved as a blade should be.
Thanks HI for an awesome Knife!
