Does anybody make chisel-ground tactical fixed blades in shapes other than tanto? I love the tantos, but I also like variety.

If you can post some links, I would immensely appreciate it.

Thank you.

How much you want to spend? I am sure a custom maker would be willing to make a chisel grind in any blade shape you like, if you are willing to pay the price.

I just found this thread.
Here is one I made a while ago. It is made of S30V and has a cord wrapped, ray skin handle. I have made lots of different chisel ground designs. Lots of tantos, too, like one I was working on this afternoon and hope to post some pictures here next week.

Not very tactical, but the various CRKT KISS/PECK folders plus their are all chisel ground (because of obvious reasons).

I own one of Ivan Campos chisel ground blades in D3 (think D2 on steroids). It takes an edge beyond scarey sharp. He doesn't call them 'pocket swords' without reason. ;)

I think that any maker is able to a knife with a chisel grind.
I also recommend looking graham knives.

Hello back at ya, Ivan. Glad to see you're doing well. We are getting our first taste of snow today, with a cold wind. Winter is not far away. How are you faring on the warm side of the planet?

I don't know if it's a chisel point or not, but the Lightfoot Zambezi byTimberline may fit the catagory.

Terhune - I just checked at 1sks and the Zambezi is not chisel ground, even though it looks pretty good, anyway. It remembers a lot the Specwar, in my opinion.
Ed - Getting hotter and rainy - and then colder and rainy... It seems that El Nino has chosen this place to live... anyway, weather is always good to make knives and drink beer. :D

Ivan, help! I keep trying to get on your website, but it leads me to a dead end. It says it's under construction.

I read through this thread...and really thought I posted about Ivan's knives. Man, I'm slipping, with no old age excuse...I second/third/8th a recommendation for Ivan's knives.

Ain't they pretty?

IIRC, I picked up a $.50 Camp USA keychain knife that was chisel ground, looking almost exactly like a Spyderco Ladybug. .

Hello, Sean

Seeing that you and Ed are still happy with my knives after so long makes me feel real good! :D
Seeing the pics of these knives after a couple years was nice, too.

Esav: thanks for keeping one of my babies sharp. I am sure it is even better than when it left Tatuí!
