Here are some chisels I made for my brother for Christmas. They are A2 with figured walnut handles. They are 1", 0.5", and 0.25". I also made a small kirideshi for marking.

Nice looking! I especially like the way the wood handles turned out. Great looking figure to that wood. Did you use a lathe for that work?
 
Well done Rob! That set would make the perfect gift for the woodworker that has everything. I bet he would appreciate them.
 
He'll love those chisels ! A-2 is a great steel for that ,I can't think of a better one .
 
Would 1095 be a good steel to use for chisels? I was thinking of making some so I can do some dovetail work and I am only confortable using 1095 at this time...

They look awesome by the way.
