What is the difference between a chisel grind and a regular ground knife? (other than the obvious one side sharpened only). Is there any pros/cons in cutting or durability..or does it really make a difference? If you're wondering what knife i'm referring to its the surefire echo. Let me know some of your input.

For the user, the only advantage is in unusual situations where you have to cut against a ruler or work with fish or chisel wood. And if you're really that bad at sharpening, I guess it's easier to sharpen. But mostly it's just cheaper and easier for the manufacturer. And if you have a chisel grind, it will tend to curve off to one side when you cut through material.

This has been discussed dozens of times. You can probably have all your questions answered by using the search function. Good luck.
