I recieved the 20" Chitlangi by Tirtha from the 3/23 DOTD today.
Tirtha seems to be "stepping up" his game every time we see a new shipment.
This Chitlangi instantly reminded me of my Bura 20" Sirupate. It's not that they are the same feel, but the quality is there. Sort of an instant recognition of the Kami's skill and intent when you pick it up.
Being struck by this, I took a few phone pics of both.
Lying on my extra fence section backdrop.
Then a few mirror images (or as close to it as I could do in a five minute photo shoot)

Spine difference
The chit is about 3/8th's at the bolster with a distinct taper, the Siru is 1/2" and less taper. Bura made this as a heavier Siru, I asked for one exactly like it and Uncle Bill said he had this sitting around waiting for it's owner.
The Chit is 29oz and the Siru is 35oz.
The Chit was made to be a weapon with utilitarian function, so was the Siru.
They both feel absolutely alive in the hand and effortless to control.
They both convey superb ability and a master's craft.
Sorry about the pic size but thanks for looking!
