Well..........Cords is an exageration.

Went to visit my parents in Kentucky last month.
Took a couple of khuks into the woods to cut some poles.
Also got to practice chopping on a recently fallen tree.
I had with a Baby 18" Ganga Ram Special, and an 18" Chitlangi.
Mostly I carried the Chitlangi.

I'm in love..........
.........................Well.......let's just say I have a new favorite.
I found that you can use any part of the blade as a 'sweet spot',
depending on how the chop lands
depending on grip & style of chop.
But you really know when the chop hits poorly.

A 1" branch was nothing to the blade.
[I should mention that it was -not- shaving sharp (not a single hair removed)
I had simply steeled the factory edge to smooth it a bit]
2" branch or sapling was easy.
5"-6" branch was no sweat.
Thicker than that,
the cutting edge was getting too short relative to the chopping surface.
The impact energy is spread along too much edge.

What part of Kentucky?

I used a WWII blem Sunday to trim out some brush at the house, it was my go to until I got the Baby Ganga Ram. We did some limbing, bucking, and brush cleaning in fact, my neighbor liked it, but wouldn't try it when offered.

Small world:) Thats where my in-laws live. Well not exactly. I think they're actually in J-town, but it all runs together these days. I think i might have to give the chit a try. Every one keeps raving about them and i think i've finally recouped from the YCS pre-pay. Hmmmm:)
