Hi Folks Have A Question For Those In The Know!
Ordered A 22" Chitlangi Blem By Sher, Only Has A Single Fuller
And Is Labeled 21" Sotang Model, Every Detail As A Chitlangi But
Single Fuller! Is This A New Model Or What? Wonderful Workmanship
I'm Just Curious! Thanks For Any Info,God Bless All!

It isn't a Gelbu Special? Is the buttcap bulged or flat? Bulged is unique to the Chitlangi (and Chainpuri).

Who called it a Chitlangi first, or were you asking if that's what it is?
Could be a Chainpuri as the Chitlangi has a Chainpuri handle except it's covered entirely with metal.

let me kow if it bugs you, I have generously relieived others of such uh, oddities!

I like the furniture of the Chit, but the weight and disposition of the GS blade. Sounds like a winning combo.

No I Love It, Its A Chitlangi But Only Has A Single Fuller Is That
Strange Or Common? Thanks for all the Info!
Randy

Randy all the Chits that i know of are Dui Chiarra or two fullers so what you have is a variant evidently.
That could be good or bad depending on how the weight and balance is. Probably similar to a Gelbu Special with their single fuller.

Is the top of the handle covered entirely in metal?

Fizzer,

Here's a link to a thread which details the origin of the chitlangi.

Hope that provides some insight into this super khukuri. I have some with both single and double fullers. The single fuller ones are identified as Sotang. The one I have by Gurkha House (Shop 1) has a single fuller with double row engraving on the sword of Shiva. It also has two kardas and no chakma.

27oz. 22" Chitlangi With full brass On top of Handle, But Single Fuller
Not Sure What I Have But It A Beauty!
thanks Randy
