Best kind of hog - ritecheer:thumbup:

I am the kind of person who will try almost anything once.

Anyone here tried chittlins. I want to try them but I don't really know where the best place to go would be. I won't know if their good or if their bad.

And just to be clear. No, I have never tried crack. I just sell it,

Please ignore the nice, heavily armed, men dressed in those swank black uniforms that are currently seaking up on your house. ;) :D

I'm southern born and bred but I have also been downwind of chitterlings cooking so I will never eat them. When you buy chitterlings you have to remember to ask if they are slung or unslung. If you know what that means then you know enough not to eat them.

Never tried chittlins, but I love menudo, which is made of beef stomach (amongst other things).

When I lived in Mississippi/Louisiana I ate a lot of things that make people squirm. I've helped slaughter quite a few things, amongst them hogs. So I also helped prep for chittlins. Ate em' with mustard greens. Pretty bland without the vinegar. Nowhere as good as the Gator with red beans and rice I had afterwords. Now I'm thinkin' about Cajun food, oh man! Crawfish and beer, food of the gods.;)
